Derry City and Strabane District Council have commenced a consultation with local residents and users in the Claudy area in relation to the layout of the Market Square (Cow Market) Car Park.
The car park has been identified as requiring remedial surface works and a contractor has been appointed. As part of the re-surfacing works, various layouts are being proposed.
The Council is keen to get the community involved to get their feedback on the proposed layouts and general information on the car park.
The consultation is taking place in a variety of ways, in person and online.
To facilitate those who want to view the plans in person an event is planned at the Diamond Centre, Claudy on Tuesday 23rd April from 4pm to 7pm and on Wednesday 24th April from 9:30am to 2pm.
For those unable to attend in person they can take part in the survey online from today at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SDR77F2
The survey will be available until next Thursday 25th April.
A spokesperson for the Council encouraging the local community to get involved in the consultation process said it was important to get views from the local community.
The spokesperson added that both consultation options (online or in person) will follow the same format and provide the same information and that individuals do not need to participate in both.
