POLICE intercepted a banned driver on the roads in Derry on Friday.
Police Derry City and Strabane say: “Roads Policing Officers stopped a car on Friday on the Maydown Road in Derry.
“On inspection it was discovered the driver was disqualified, had no insurance and the vehicle had defective tyres.
“The driver has since been reported to Public Prosecution Service and vehicle subsequently seized.
“Actions such as this are selfish and endanger other road users.
“Our officers will continue to try and tackle this type of behaviour and would encourage people to think about the possible consequences of it.”
