Man to face court on drugs and theft charges

A 25 year old man has been charged with three counts of theft, two counts of possession of a Class C controlled drug, possession of a Class B Controlled drug, possessing article with blade or point in public place, fraud by false representation and burglary.

He is due to appear today at Strabane Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 29, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges are in relation to the seizure of suspected Class B and suspected Class C drugs and the arrest of a man in the Waterloo Place area of Derry on Monday, May 27.
