Around 50 jobs are at risk at Derry-based call centre company Firstsource.
It has announced more than 60 jobs are at risk of redundancy in the North of Ireland.
The company said it had now started a consultation process with workers who are affected.
It is understood 50 of them are based in Londonderry where the company has more than 250 workers.
The consultation is linked to work for its client, NOW Broadband, part of the Sky entertainment group, Firstsource said.
“Staff impacted have been informed today and as a responsible employer, we are working closely to support them throughout this process,” the company said in a statement.
It added: “Firstsource remains committed to Derry”.
A spokesman for NOW Broadband confirmed it is in the process of “reviewing how we work” with Firstsource.
“We are unable to comment further whilst we go through the process,” the spokesman added.
In 2019 the firm employed close to 2,000 staff in Northern Ireland.
Last year around 500 staff in the North of Ireland were notified they were at risk of redundancy due to what Firstsource called the “changing priorities” of Sky.
SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood has expressed concern at the redundancy reports.
SDLP representatives are set to meet with the company and raise the concerns of staff.
Foyle Westminster candidate Mr Eastwood said:
“News that 50 jobs are at risk at Firstsource in Derry will cause real concern and uncertainty for many families in our city.
“Firstsource is a major employer in this area and my thoughts are with everyone affected by this announcement across the North as they face a difficult few months while this situation is resolved.
“The SDLP will be meeting with Firstsource in the coming days and making the case for affected staff.
“Everything possible must be done to ensure that job losses are kept to a minimum and that staff receive the necessary support and guidance throughout. We will also meet with staff to make sure their voices are heard.
“This announcement is particularly disappointing given the high levels of support Firstsource has received from Invest NI over the years.
“If we are going to address the economic issues that have plagued our city for generations then we need to attract well-paid jobs and investment and I am determined to keep fighting to deliver that for Derry.”
