Man to face court after cars damaged in Derry

Police in Derry have charged a 35-year-old man to court following reports that a number of vehicles were damaged in the Magazine Street area of the city centre on Thursday, July 4.

He has been charged with six counts of criminal damage and attempted criminal damage.

The suspect is to face Derry Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, July 6, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges relate to reports that a man was kicking the wing mirrors of cars in Magazine Street.
