Man arrested in data probe to be reported to PPS

A 54-year-old man arrested in the Derry area on Monday, July 29, by detectives investigating criminality linked to the freedom of information data breach last August, has been released from custody.

The PSNI say he is to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.

A police spokesperson said: “The investigation continues.”

The man was arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act and taken to the serious crime suite in Belfast for questioning.
