A 24 year old man has been charged to court over a race-hate stabbing in Derry at the weekend.
He has been charged with offences including wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is expected to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday, October 14 , for a first remand hearing.
The charges relate to a stabbing incident in a shop in the Foyle Street area of Derry during the early hours of Sunday morning, October 13.
Police said they were treating the incident as a race-hate crime.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS
