Man charged to court over dangerous driving incident in Derry

Police in Derry have charged a 28-year-old man with a number of driving-related offences.

The man is charged with the offences of dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to another vehicle, failing to stop for police, failing to provide specimen when driving unfit.

He is further accused of using a motor vehicle without insurance and having no driving licence.

He is scheduled to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday, October 19, for a first remand hearing

As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges follow reports of dangerous driving in the city yesterday October 17 including Creggan Heights, Westway and Central Drive.
