The charges follow the search of a vehicle by officers from Derry City and Strabane District Support Team (DST) in the Infirmary Road area on Monday, December 2.
A follow-up search of a house in the city was conducted where a quantity of suspected Class A drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized.
The 40-year-old man has been charged with a number of drug offences including being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug and possessing criminal property.
He is due to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning, Tuesday, December 3.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
