The man, aged 49, has been charged with a number of driving offences, theft from a filling stationo and possession of a Class C controlled drug.
He is expected to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, December 18 for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
