Leisure service users will be delighted to hear that Templemore Sports Complex is set to reopen ahead of schedule after the successful completion of works at the centre.
Gym classes will resume as normal from first thing this morning, Friday, December 20, and the gym will reopen for members.
However, the swimming pool and health suite will remain closed until Saturday morning to allow water temperatures to return to the required levels.
Further updates will be provided on Council’s social media channels.
The Complex had closed its doors on December 16th to facilitate the unexpected essential repair work.
Confirming the news, Council’s Director of Health and Community, Karen McFarland, said: “We are very pleased to confirm that the work at Templemore has been carried out ahead of schedule to ensure users can access facilities over the Christmas period.
“I want to thank everyone for their understanding and their patience, we hope to resume normal service at the pool and health suite as soon as that has been approved.”
Pool users can avail of facilities at alternative council leisure centres until the pool reopens – find out more at www.derrystrabane.com/services/leisure or book via the leisure app.
