Some schools across Derry and the North of Ireland are closed on Tuesday morning following a night of snow.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice issued by the Met Office is in place until 11am on January 7.
The forecaster says further wintry showers are expected today and tonight.
Police have advised drivers to exercise caution due to icy roads across the North.
They have urge motorists to “slow down and leave a bigger gap between your vehicle and the vehicle in front”.
Derry City and Strabane District Council has advised that cemeteries across the city and district will remain closed today, except for funerals, as teams work at clearing snow and black ice.
