The man is due to appear before Derry Magistrate’s Court on Friday, January 10 for a first remand hearing.
He is charged with a number of drug related offences including possession of class B drug, possession of a class C controlled drug and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug, conspiracy to fraudulently import a class B controlled drug and possession of and converting criminal property.
He is also charged with traffic offences, including driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance.
As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
OCB Detective Inspector MacCionáoith said: “Targeting drugs supply is a priority for the Police Service and we work tirelessly to tackle every aspect of drug supply and misuse in our area.
“It’s a vicious cycle we need to collectively break, and we all have a part to play.

The 39 year old man was arrested on 9th October 2024 and subsequently bailed pending further police enquires.
On the same day, searches were conducted in Derry during which approximately £20,000 in cash was seized, as well as a vehicle.
On Thursday, January 8, 2025, following further enquiries, the same man was arrested on suspicion of further offences and subsequently charged.
At the same time, working with colleagues in An Garda Síochána, a further search was carried out as part of enquiries.
