Bauer, which is home to Cool FM, Downtown, Downtown Country, Greatest Hits NI and Hits Radio NI is Northern Ireland’s largest commercial radio network, reaching a weekly audience of 812,000 listeners.
Representing 52% of the population, Bauer continues to lead the way with its figures growing – including across the northwest – thanks to the strength of its brands, combined with its trusted news platforms and its ability to connect with local audiences.
Commercial Director Simon Mann remarked: “We really welcomed the chance to meet the Chamber members and update them on Bauer Media and the background to our brands in the NW region.
“Like all other media, the way our listeners ‘consume’ radio has changed, but we’ve always understood and adapted to changes in audience behaviour and the evolving audio environment.
“It’s about creating a strong local identity that remains relevant to listeners, and the business community. And this applies as much to those in the NW as it does to those in Belfast.

“Community and connection are central to Bauer’s success, and we very much look forward to developing our relationship with the Chamber and its members in the months ahead.”
Emile Rainey from Derry Chamber added: “It was great to bring the full Bauer Media Audio NI team to Derry and to hear at first-hand how their innovative and creative approach has enabled their important platforms to excel in the ever-changing media landscape.”
